Why I started this Website?

All my life or maybe since I remember, I have loved journaling. I remember my mom finding sheets of paper in my school bag or inside the corners of my drawers filled with the description of events and happenings of my life.

Now, when I am 22, I think it is time that people around me can read what I've been writing.

My college experience, what I studied, my decision to move to Dubai, how I landed a job here, how I manage my expenses, struggles to achieve my dreams and aspirations are journeys on which I still walk on and will blog about. In between, I battle my urge to buy expensive coffee and desperation to go and start living with my parents again.

The idea of creating a website came into my mind when I watched Ali Abdaal's videos on creating a website. He happens to be my favorite YouTuber btw. You can watch the video here-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acBJsjCqgtM&t=537s. The video talks about how putting yourself out on the internet makes a huge difference in your life- personally and professionally.

"I did not want the words and opinions in my mind to be mere thoughts but something that I can make a small difference with, at least in one person's life"

To put yourself out on the internet about how you feel and what you are passionate about takes courage. There is criticism and failure at times but the key is to keep going.

Honestly, this website is to discover me as a person and for people who are still discovering themselves too.

So, lets summarize the reasons of creating a website:

INDEPENDENCE OF BEING THE CREATIVE YOU

Unlike any social media, your own website gives you a platform to portray your personality in the most creative way. There are no borders that you need to work with. It's like your own canvas and it displays your creativity the way you want the world to see. Not everyone likes everything and so a website gives you the freedom of being you.

BLOGGING

As stated above, writing and journaling has been my thing from the beginning of me. Creating a website would help being consistent and making me a better writer with time. Plus, knowing that someone out there has the access to read what I write puts a sense of responsibility to write and blog consistently ( if you know what I mean)

PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

Well, what is better than earning from what you love doing? Just put your stuff- blogs, pictures, videos , sell or buy or just start a business out of scratch- having a website means your work is 24/7 out there for everyone to reach out to. Figure out what motivates you and there you go! Starting is the most important thing and maybe who knows you are the next billionaire.

PERSONAL GROWTH

A website helps you to be consistent with your work and adds that piece of productivity that was always missing from your life. You constantly learn something new and discover new people and new ways to learn.

HAVING A VOICE

Your website speaks about who you are and what you do especially if it's about blogging or your own art. It gives a voice to your thoughts and opinions and maybe there are people on this blue planet just like you who would want to listen to you.

JUST FOR FUN

Also, having your own website is plainly too much fun. Believe me. Work on it and time will fly. Take your own time, be yourself and realize your surroundings disappearing

So, if you are contemplating about creating a website, STOP RIGHT THERE and create one!

Also, don't forget to subscribe!
